Why participate?
This contest offers a unique opportunity for young artists to showcase their creativity and share their perspective on peace. Winning entries will be recognized at the local level, and may advance to the District, Multiple District and International competitions, with the chance for global recognition.

While we don’t currently host our own Public Speaking/ Effective Speaking contest, we proudly support youth in the Tiny Township area by encouraging students in grade 4-12 to participate in the structured public speaking competitoin hosted by one of the neighbouring clubs, the Penetanguishene Lions Club.  They will be hosting their event on February, 22, 2026

Key points:
• Speeches are divided into Junior (Grade 4-6) Intermediate (7-9) and Senior (10-12) levels.
• Contestants usually prepare a speech (on a topic of their choice, with guidlines) in in some divisions, also give an impromtu speech.
• Judging is based on both content and delivery, encouraging independent thinking and clear, effective communiciation.
• Winners from the Penetanguishene competition advance to the District A12 competition, and if applicable, top district winners go on to the Multiple District finals.

For students in our area interested in competing, or details about this year’s contest, including the date and how to register – please contact the Penetanguishene Lions Club directly . We would also be happy to help connect you with them.
